I thought that this would be the best place to post this. This is a bit of a reminder to myself, although I know I forgot some things. If you happen to read this though, perhaps my rambling will give you some ideas and encouragement.
It's been a while since this Wiki was worked on, and I would love to see it brought back to life. There's a lot of work to do though!
There are some things that I've been thinking about, but I'll try to be brief.
I'm not entirely sure how to organize the quest pages yet.
Does the template need to be adjusted? When you add in item names to the template, the template stretches out across and it does not look nice. A better idea (probably) would be to add in reward item sections to quest pages.
I also thought it would be a good idea to add in a quest items page that would include information for quest items.
In general, I think that Templates need to be looked at. Using templates is really helpful when creating a large amount of similar pages.
While leveling my character, I took a lot of screenshots of whatever I found interesting. I need to add in some tiny bits of information for a few skill levels, EXP levels, and SP levels. I would love to work on quest pages, but that will have to wait until I figure out a good way to present information on quest pages.
Adding in hundreds of incomplete or unorganized pages to the Wiki at this point may not be the best idea. Instead, I think it will be best if I work on updating current pages to the Wiki to the best of my ability. These pages will probably include pages for the bestiary and maps.
Later on, I plan on sorting through my screenshots to add quest and item information. I think I will work on a few basic guides as well, like a guide to the mail system.
I hope that more people will come to contribute to this Wiki, but I know they would rather spend time in-game.
There are a lot of things that I don't know yet (such as about the classes I don't play), and I might not know them for a very long time, if at all. I'm working on figuring things out, but enough of me talking to myself. When a community for this Wiki appears, that's when the real discussions will start.
